Overall we are delighted with our new space. Everything came out really well in the end. Judy in the office was always so helpful and went out of her way even when I thought I must be her most annoying customer 🤣 A few things to note. The finish was actually done by myself and my husband, we did not pay them for painting. We did pay them the extra €500 for paint prep though, which I felt left a lot to be desired as shown in 1 of the pictures. We spent another 1-2 days actually doing some proper prep before painting. Im not sure if the result might have been better if they had to do the painting too but if you are painting yourself I'd say skip it, save your money and do it yourself, or just pay them for all of it. One thing to note, and this isn't a criticism but maybe I just wasnt aware how much work would be involved before stating the job but basically my entire house had to be repainted minus my kitchen, sitting room and downstairs toilet. The works affected my bedroom ceiling and spare bedroom ceiling quite badly so they had to be completly repainted. The whole boxroom walls and ceiling had to be repainted. My whole bathroom ceiling had to be repainted and my whole hallway walls and ceiling had to be repainted from being scraped with materials being moved in and out. Im not sure their quote for painting would have included all of this to be honest so just be aware it is a huge job. It took the two of us just over a week to repaint the whole house. The 2 hour clean they included left a lot to be desired. Cleaner was here for about an hour and 10 minutes and I still had to do loads more cleaning myself, Hallway was barely hoovered etc. It also didnt even include the boxroom which was very affected by the works carried out so it probably should be.
We were quoted 3 weeks for the work originally then Judy told us it would probably be closer to 4. In the end there was a lot of delays, the job went into week 5 before the attic and ensuite were usable, but there were still some snags after that which dragged into week 8. They were only minor things and the space was usable from week 5 but just to be aware because I did see some other reviews saying some snags dragged out for them too. I dont think its the Attic Company's fault and was the Plumbers but it is their subcontractor.
Overall we are delighted with the finished product. The above are the issues we did have but at the end of the day none of it would make me rethink who we used im still happy with our decision but just more something to be aware of.

I was recommended by loads of people to go to The Attic Company, but our experience was poor.
We engaged with The Attic Company months ago. Trying to reach via email and the office was impossible, even when they sent follow up emails asking if there was anything they could do to help, and we replied etc. Having spoken to multiple people in the office eventually, it was discovered our emails were in their inbox but not actioned.
When asked if they could help with a form, I was told no and when I asked if their engineer could help, were told by them that their engineer wasn't very reliable?!
The last communication we had was that someone would ring us back by the end of the day and if that wasn't someone would either ring us back immediately to let us know when...we still haven't had a phone call.

Hi Laura, since talking to you on the phone last week. I would like to apologise again for your experience with the Attic company . We have a new system and software on our computer systems which is supposed to help us and give our customers a better experience. Which was not the case., we hopefully have that sorted now. All engineers are independent, when signing off jobs. Our office must not have explained everything in the best way. I know you have chosen another company now so wishing you all the best with your attic . Thanks Tim

Tim and the team converted our attic in April 2023 and we are very happy with the result. The speed of the install was very impressive, different tradesmen arriving each day to their part. Tim and Judy were always very responsive when anything cropped up. We went with the quattro windows which turned out great. I would and have recommended The Attic Company to friends and family.
